MOSAIC CLASS SCHEDULE Winter 2007

All classes are on Saturdays at 1:00 pm

Feb. 10th Socks on Double Pointed Needles. $35.00 fee

Feb. 17th Learn to Knit 101. $35 fee includes yarn, needles, and instruction. Learn to cast-on, knit, purl, bind-off. Must be 8 or older.

Feb. 24th Colinette Jitterbug sock class using the Magic Loop technique. $45.00 fee
Yarn, needles, pattern, and instruction included

March 17th Lizard Ridge Afghan Weekend. $45.00 fee includes 3 skeins of Noro Kureyon, pattern and instruction with Loren on saturday, Mimi on Sunday

March 24th Fetching fingerless cabled gloves. $35.00 fee includes Debbie Bliss yarn, DP needles, pattern , and instruction

March 31st. Lace Workshop. Try your hand at the trend sweeping the Knitting country!
$45.00 fee includes yarn, needles, stitch markers, pattern, and instruction

April 7th Maggi Knits Shawl. $75.00 includes yarn, buttons, pattern, and instruction

April 14th Finishing 101. Always a handicap for many knitters...priceless lesson. Bring your own project that needs finishing. $35.00

April 21st. Handtowels. $35 fee includes pattern, instruction, and Euroflax Linen

April 28th Charlotte/Sandy's Web Shawl. $95.00 fee includes instruction, stitch markers, 7 skeins of Claudia handpainted yarn, and Pattern

Classes will be limited to 8 people so please RSVP as soon as possible. In order to reserve your space, please call us at 540-961-4462 with any major credit card. You can also pay in person with credit, cash, or, checks. All fees are nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend a class you have reserved, we will issue you a store credit that you may use for yarn. Hope to see you there! Debbie Bliss is Here!

Don't we wish! She is a living doll...to know her is to love her. Alas, she is not at the store, but her yarn is. That beautiful, albeit controversial, yarn Cashmerino Aran, Dk, and Chunky. 24 colors new in stock! Happy Happy joy joy happy happy joy! (Iam dancing a jig right now). Cleaned Out...

We had loads of this beautful Collinette Mohair...and now it is gone. But do not dispair, O'Starving Knitters, more will arrive soon. New in stock...every size and length of Addi Turbos, Berroco's Pure Merino, which is now my all time favorite yarn (and it's machine Washable), restocked Blizzard, and Queensland's Aran Tweed(love). Clever Customers...

So here is Knitress all decked out in a "clever" tshirt she got at Stitches East! You can chat with her on Wednesday nights from 7-9 in the store, she is always working on some fabulous project. Ask her if she's seen the movie "Star Wars". Peace out!

Mimi and Purl Fall in Love...

I brought Purl in to the store today to see her Auntie Mimi (another Lover of All Pugs) and the two of them fell madly in love. Purl slept on her neck while Mimi knitted a square on her Lizard Ridge Afghan. We have her Lizard on display till this coming Sunday and copies of the pattern free to a good home with a healthy sampling of Noro Kureyon. Which, by the way, we got in a new color of Kureyon, bringing our color count to 20. Oh, and Mimi works on Sundays and plays 80's music, so if you like Boy George, Sunday is the day to buy some yarn at Mosaic!

Time to Get Ready for Classes!

Just want to give a shout-out to Kara, at All Stix...she is making us some VT Hokie knitting needles and we cannot wait! Imagine, at Lane Stadium knitting with VT needles! Cheering our Basketball players on with our VT needles high above our heads! Click click click! So whats new around these here parts? Well we are trying to get our act together and get our class schedule together. Not so easy, as you can well imagine. Coming in shortly for our winter months, Pure Merino by Berroco, more new colors of Debbie Bliss Cashmerino aran, Farmhouse yarns' Andy's merino, and Pagewood Farms' Sock yarn. Very special. Unusual. Gorgeous. Don't forget to come knit with us tonite till 9pm and every Wednesday night...but remember, this group of knitters are a racy bunch. If you don't want to hear a swear word or two and don't want your hair to curl...skip it. But you'll definately get insprired!
